Music network and female empowerment platform Little Pink Book (LPB) has launched in the UAE, backed by some of the most influential women in the MENA music industry.
Little Pink Book was founded in London in 2019 by Roberta Hickey, who has over 10 years experience in the music industry at the likes of MTV & Meta, and is a DJ herself. Roberta founded the Little Pink Book platform to provide career advice and resources to young women seeking to delve into the music industry, and to shine a spotlight on the women who are industry leaders in their respective roles.
On October 12 Little Pink Book launched in the UAE with a roundtable discussion attended by an all female audience of music industry professionals, producers, artists & DJs. The evening was hosted at Pekoe in Alserkal Avenue, Dubai.
The roundtable discussion was led by LPB Founder Roberta, who discussed the attendees’ careers, how Little Pink Book provides support for women looking to enter the music industry and the launch of a LPB mentorship scheme. A major focus of the event’s discussion was around the wants and needs of the attending women in relation to what Little Pink Book can grow to be in the UAE.
Roberta said, “I am so excited to bring Little Pink Book to the UAE. There is so much amazing talent here both on the industry and artist side and I can’t wait to build the LPB network and see what value it can bring to the industry.”
