Big news for comedy fans in Dubai, Mo Amer is making his way back to the city for a double performance this October as part of the Dubai Comedy Festival 2025.
The acclaimed Palestinian-American comedian will take over the Dubai Opera stage for two back-to-back shows on Thursday, October 9. Presented by Live Nation Middle East, this one-night-only event brings the sharp-witted comic, widely known for his Netflix hit MO as well as appearances in Ramy and Black Adam, back to a city that gave him one of his earliest festival stages in 2020.
A comedic voice with global resonance
Mo Amer has carved out a space as one of the most honest and engaging storytellers in the comedy world. With a style that blends cultural commentary, personal anecdotes, and laugh-out-loud punchlines, his stand-up sets often explore identity, family, fame, and now fatherhood.

His return to Dubai Opera marks a special milestone, coming full circle from his appearance at the very first edition of Dubai Comedy Festival to now returning as a globally recognised and award-winning comic with accolades like a Peabody, AFI Honor, and Gotham Award under his belt.

Mo Amer is just one of several major names confirmed for this year’s Dubai Comedy Festival. Other acts set to bring the laughs include Tom Segura, Joanne McNally, Morgan Jay, Akaash Singh, and the NearlyParents Podcast Live.
Recently added names such as Redouane Bougheraba, Amer Zahr, Ivan Abramov, and Gaurav Kapoor are only raising the bar for what’s shaping up to be the biggest edition yet.
