Stalwart DJ Black Coffee, from South Africa, frequently performs at festivals in the United Arab Emirates. However, the well-known DJ is flying to Abu Dhabi in February to play at Masquerave at the magnificent Louvre Abu Dhabi.
On February 15, 2025, Black Coffee, now in its second edition, will perform his soulful sounds and exciting energy at the art museum. The rave is held beneath the gorgeous dome, which, yes, turns into a unique, colourful dance floor for the evening.
The kwaito genre, which combines jazzy African sounds with an ethereal house music mood, was pioneered by the South African DJ. Black Coffee has published numerous popular albums and singles and swiftly established itself as a mainstay on the international scene. In among his many honours, he has collaborated with innumerable foreign artists and won Best International DJ at the 2015 BET Awards.
A musical evening full of force, rhythm, and heritage is what you can anticipate. Kings and Queens of Africa: Forms and Figures of Power, the most recent temporary exhibition at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, served as the inspiration for the evening.
The night’s early bird tickets are Dhs395, and they will eventually cost Dhs495. Don’t wait around to buy your tickets because there aren’t many available. Please be aware that only people who are at least 21 years old will be able to enter the venue. It starts at 10:30pm and lasts till 3 am.
