Spandau Ballet took the music world by storm selling twenty-five million albums worldwide and also had twenty-three hit singles. Meeting the demands of there millions of fans the band released eight UK top ten albums which included three greatest hits compilations plus and album of re-recorded material. The band consisted of Gary Kemp as the guitarist, synthesised and backing vocals, his brother Martin Kemp on bass, Tony Hadley as lead vocalist, drummer John Keeble and saxophonist Steve Norman.

Kicking off their music career with their debut single To Cut a Long Story Short which went on to reach number five in the UK in 1980 and became the first of ten UK top ten singles. The bands success rocketed in 1983 with the album True and its title track which reached number one in the UK and top five in the US. To the sadness of their fans in 1990, the band played their last live show before a nineteen year split, reforming again in 2009 for The Reformation Tour which was a sell-out Greatest Hits tour.

As one of the best bands of their time Spandau Ballet have received multiple achievements and awards for their hugely successful career, winning their first award in 1984 at the Brit Awards. They then went on to win the Q Awards in 2009 which was hosted by music magazine Q. The title track of album True was such a success that in 2011 it received a BMI Award for being one of the most played songs in US history with four million air plays. The instantly recognised stars can turn any event into an occasion not to be missed.
