Mikey Reed, Singer, Bassman and Frontman, has been based in Dubai since 2010 performing entertainment all around the UAE. In 2017 Mikey founded the band BIG Mouth, which has since risen to one of the best known and highly respected party bands on the highly competitive UAE live entertainment circuit. With over 450 songs in the bands repertoire covering the last 70 years of popular music there is nothing the band can’t cover, Ed Sheeran to Kenny Rogers, ABBA to System of a Down they’ve got it all for you! The 3 musicians value professionalism, attention to details and a dedication to ensuring the audience have the best night imaginable in any venue.

The band have been holding long term residences at Hard Rock Cafe, Phileas Foggs, Garden on 8, The Mezzanine, Caesars Palace, The Bungalow & Brasserie 2.0 and have also performed at The Dubai Rugby 7s (in front of 14,000 people), the Formula 1, the opening of the Pointe fountain (in front of HRH Sheikh Mohammed), Market Outside the Box, Dubai Winter Wonderland Festival and several private parties to Gordon Ramsay himself, among many other corporate gigs, weddings, private parties and other residencies.

Within 2023 Mikey decide to launch The Swing Kings, Hot Rodney and The Mirrors to diversify what he does best. The Swing Kings are perfect for any event, especially if you want to add a touch of style and sophistication to the aural experience. The 3 professional musicians have been working together on various projects for 5 years, and love to combine the influences of their own musical upbringing into the performance. Prepare to hear English sophistication, Latin flare & Arabic rhythms fused together and blended into a well rehearsed and tight, professional package.

Whether it’s the duo of Michael & Luisa, or trio with Egyptian percussionist all the way up to the 5 piece band, you can hire The Mirrors in confidence. The fusion of culture in the musicians leads to a unique blend of sounds, and the tailor made arrangements are guaranteed to leave a smile on the face of the audience. Whether it’s Jazz, pop or rock the mirrors can provide, and the multi instrumental nature of all of the musician provides a large repertoire of music across all genres.

Fusing the vintage vibes of Rock ‘n’ roll with a fresh modern sound, wrapped up in clean cut, small, well rehearsed package, HOT Rodney is ready to perform at any function. Perfect for theme nights or a tribute night but also very capable of holding down a long term residency for you. Leading off the back of my other project “BIG Mouth” (which is still operating), the new band follows all the same principles of professionalism, providing a perfect and easy service for your clients. HOT Rodney operates primarily as a trio with rocking guitars, drums and of course a big double bass, 3 lead vocalists, and the sleek rock and roll image. The band can be added too if required with keyboards and female singer.
