Natalie Renée McIntyre, known by her stage name Macy Gray, is an American R&B and soul singer and actress. Macy has a unique raspy voice and she credits her singing style down to Billie Holiday.

Gray has released ten studio albums, and received five Grammy Award nominations, winning one. Macy Gray is most known for her number 1 single “I Try” which she wrote and performed for her second album. This album was multi-platinum “On How Life Is”. The single has appeared in many films including; Spider Man, Scary Movie 3 and The Paperboy. Macy has had many achievements in her career this included when she was inducted into the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame in 2014, in her hometown of Canton, Ohio.
