Pierre Aboujaoude is an award winning filmmaker and photographer with over 20 years experience.

A long term aficionado of the moving image, his was a steady consumption of films by Ridley Scott, Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg. “I went into film because of the cinematography”.

He directed multiple documentaries for TV channels such as ARTE, Al-Jazeera, France24, several NGO’s, UNHCR,

He wrote, directed and shot a film on the world of motorbikes in Lebanon and has also directed films for NGO’s such as KAFA, UNICEF, UNCR and INJAZ. He directed French film star Michel Galabru in “C’est le ciel qui vous envoie”. The film won 2nd best short film and the audience award at the Beirut international film festival. Pierre’s also directed French film star Michel Galabru in “C’est le ciel qui vous envoie”.

He has covered the Lebanese demonstrations and has done extensive street photography. For Pierre photography is about catching a moment, a combination of timing, composition, location and a story. If you get the four of them, you are really lucky!

Most importantly, he’s a chocolate fanatic, was always the black sheep in a family of bankers, loves the 80’s, speaks French, Arabic, and English, a tad of Spanish and lives in a state of perpetual, but good-natured, frustration.

Today, he divides his time between Europe and the Middle East focusing on photography as his latest passion.
